The two-way regulating valve shall avoid personal injury or property loss caused by sudden pressure relief or part burst in the process. Before performing any maintenance operations, you should:

(1) When carrying out any maintenance operation, be sure to wear protective gloves, clothes and goggles to avoid personal injury.

(2) Cut off all operating lines that provide air pressure, power supply or control signals to the actuator. Ensure that the actuator does not suddenly open or close the valve.

(3) The two-way regulating valve separates the process pressure from the valve by bypassing or completely closing the process. Completely release the process pressure on both sides of the valve and discharge the process medium on both sides of the valve.

(4) Release the loading pressure of the pneumatic actuator and the pre compression force of any actuator spring.

(5) The two-way regulating valve uses locking method to ensure that the above measures remain effective when operating the equipment.

(6) Even if the valve has been removed from the pipeline, the stuffing box of the valve may contain pressurized process fluid. Therefore, when the packing hardware or packing ring is removed, the process fluid may be ejected under pressure.
